using visual arts to change the feel of your room

Is there a room in your home that just feels unwelcoming? What colors have you used in that room? Do you have it decorated in a manner that will create a welcoming and joyful feel? I had a room in my home that just made me feel depressed when I spent any time in it. I talked with an interior designer friend of mine about the problem and she told me to look for visual arts to place around the room. She told me that I had to spend some time looking at different artwork until I found the pieces that created a positive and powerful feeling. Visit my website to find out how I changed the feel of my room with a few visual art pieces.

3 Innovative Picture Framing Options

by Shawn Moreno

Framing your pictures is a great way to make them stand out, and a framed picture will make your walls look much nicer than simply attaching a bare photo or painting to your wall. The great part about picture frames is that there are many innovative options for framing your pictures, so there are many ways to find the perfect frame for just about anyone. Three options to consider are geeky, electronic, and printed frames.

Geeky

Geek culture and tastes are rapidly growing, as is the desire for geeky products in just about any category. If you want a picture frame to appeal to your own inner geek, or that tech geek in your life, consider purchasing or making a picture frame made out of old electronic components. There are many available options that use keyboard keys and circuit boards to build the frame.

Another picture frame option that will appeal to the geeky people are custom-made picture frames that can appeal to just about any fandom or interest. For example, you can buy a space enthusiast a frame that incorporates pictures of their favorite nebulae or Hubble photos.

Electronic

Electronic picture frames have come a long way since they were first introduced. It used to be that these frames sported low resolution displays and could be a nightmare to actually apply photos to. However, new electronic or digital picture frames now come with a wide range of options.

These frames will allow you to set up a single static image, or a series of images that can change over time. For example, you could upload multiple pictures to the frame and have the images changed hourly or daily. Some of these frames include advanced features, such as being able to display multiple pictures at once and allowing you to upload the pictures to the frame through WiFi.

Printed

Custom printed frames are available in a wide range of options. If you are interested in a minimalist design for your walls, you can have designs printed on simple pieces of adhesive plastic or glossy paper that will adhere to the wall around your pictures. While this option is not going to be as aesthetically pleasing as a traditional picture frame, it will give you a lot of room for creativity and is ideal if you are on a tight budget.

You can also go for a more high tech route and have a custom frame 3D printed for you. A 3D printing service will be able to take a template that you send to them and create a frame out of it for you. This will give you more creative control over the frame design than you would get with most framing options. It can be quite budget-friendly as well.

Visit a picture framing store like It's Worth Framing in order to see the many options available to you. With the availability of printed, digital, and geek-friendly framing options, you will be able to easily find the frame that best suits you and your pictures.
