using visual arts to change the feel of your room

Is there a room in your home that just feels unwelcoming? What colors have you used in that room? Do you have it decorated in a manner that will create a welcoming and joyful feel? I had a room in my home that just made me feel depressed when I spent any time in it. I talked with an interior designer friend of mine about the problem and she told me to look for visual arts to place around the room. She told me that I had to spend some time looking at different artwork until I found the pieces that created a positive and powerful feeling. Visit my website to find out how I changed the feel of my room with a few visual art pieces.

Tips For Caring For Your Underwater Video Camera

by Shawn Moreno

Deep sea videography can be a wonderful hobby that will allow you to capture truly unique images. While deep sea video cameras, like the ones found at SVS INC., can be an excellent tool for those wanting to create deep sea videos, there are some basic steps that individuals will frequently overlook when it comes to these cameras. This will result in some problems being more likely to arise during your trip.

Secure The Camera Before You Leave

When you are leaving for your trip, you should take extra care to ensure that the video camera is as secure as possible. Minor accidents, sudden stops and other potential sources of impacts can damage the video camera. A solid and sturdy case can be an excellent investment for these cameras. Also, you may want to consider storing the camera in the trunk of the car as it will be easier to store it flat. You can prevent it from moving excessively by placing clothing, towels and other soft items around the case so that most minor shocks can be absorbed.

Thoroughly Clean The Camera Immediately After Using It

After you finish using the camera, you should immediately clean the camera as thoroughly as possible. These cameras are completely waterproof, but the salt from the ocean water can start to damage the exterior case of the camera and the seals that keep water out of the camera. For this reason, you should thoroughly rinse your underwater camera as soon as possible. As you rinse the camera, you may want to use a sponge to remove salt and sand from any difficult to reach crevices of the camera, but you should avoid using the sponge to clean the lenses as it may scuff them. When rinsing the camera, make sure to use fresh water for each component. Otherwise, salt from one component may contaminate others.

Avoid Leaving The Camera In The Sun

When you are not using the camera, you should avoid leaving the camera in the direct sunlight. If you leave the camera in direct sunlight, it can quickly reach damaging temperatures. In fact, the camera can get hot enough for critical components to melt. As a result, you should always have a shaded area where the camera equipment can be kept. If you will not have access to a canopy or other source of shade, you may want to consider using a cooler to store the camera. The insulation in coolers will help to keep the interior from getting too hot, which can be a portable way of keeping your camera safe.
